Position Overview

  • ards. 
  • Supervises associates in the disassembly of complete goods units as well as the loading of trucks or containers for international and domestic customers. 
  • This supervisor must be sure cargo is secured to prevent damage while goods are in transit.
  • Supervises associates to make sure they are stocking parts in the warehouse per company 
  • standards to prevent parts from becoming non-conforming while stocked in the service 
  • warehouse.
  • Supervises the drivers to ensure that the load is secured as per federal and state regulations. 
  • Schedules loads for shipments internationally and domestically. 
  • Maintains the completion report to make sure customer parts orders are printed and pulled in a timely fashion. Expedites back order parts through supply management. 
  • Maintains the supplies for the shipping and crating department such as wood, nails, staples, 
  • chains, binders, and all other packing supplies and truck supplies.
  • Oversees overall operations of warehouse and inventory management

Skills We Are Seeking

  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Skill in using company information systems and processes. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

  • Working knowledge of logistics processes and applicable governmental regulations. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. 
    (University Degree (1-2 years or equivalent))

  • Degree in a Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience. 
    (University Degree (1-2 years or equivalent))

  • Supervisory experience, which includes placement, work direction, coaching, 
    and performance management. (Less than 1 year)

  • Logistics work experience in such areas as warehousing, materials 
    management, transportation, broker, forwarder, etc. (1 - 3 years)

  • Experience in areas such as export documentation, government regulations, 
    freight forwarding and brokerage. (1 - 3 years)
